Abstract

Climate change and frequent flood in Kuttanad region of Kerala has changed the fertilizer requirement for paddy. In this study for improving the productiveness of paddy, soil was tested in different Padashekarams (polders). This paper reviews the soil testing procedures used and their results and analysis. After the analysis, it was found that the soils in most paddy fields of Kuttanad has become more acidic and deficient in nitrogen and phosphorous
