Abstract

This research examines current trends in paddy cultivation in Kerala. Analysis of available data reveals a decade-long variability in paddy cultivation area, marked by notable fluctuations. Recognizing the significance of rice in Kerala's diet, the study forecasted rice production up to 2030. The forecast suggests a consistent trend for most districts until 2030. Notably, Kollam and Malappuram show increasing production, while Idukki and Kozhikode exhibit a decline.
